Premier Office Movers is hiring full-time Commercial Office Furniture Installers in Columbus, Ohio. You'll assemble, install, and reconfigure workstations, cubicles, and office furniture to manufacturer standards so our clients can get back to work without missing a beat. Entry-level candidates are welcome, and we provide on-the-job training.
What you'll do
- Install office furniture systems, cubicles, workstations, casegoods, and related products according to floor plans and manufacturer specifications.
- Load, transport, unload, stage, and assemble furniture at customer job sites.
- Travel with installation crews to commercial locations throughout the region.
- Use hand and power tools to assemble, modify, and install furniture systems accurately and efficiently.
- Disassemble, reconnect, and test furniture systems and related electrical components when required.
- Maintain a complete set of required tools and participate in ongoing training.
- Report product damage or job site concerns immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and teammates to complete projects on time while delivering exceptional customer service.
What we're looking for
Required
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to read basic instructions and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
Preferred
- Previous office furniture installation, carpentry, construction, warehouse, or commercial moving experience.
- Working knowledge of systems furniture installation and related tools.
Education
Less than a high school education up to a high school diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
Entry-level candidates are welcome. Up to six months of related experience is preferred. Experience with office furniture installation, carpentry, construction, or commercial moving is a plus. On-the-job training is provided.
Working hours
- Full-time position.
- Hours vary depending on project schedules.
- Overtime is common during busy periods.
- Evening and weekend work may be required to meet customer deadlines.
Physical requirements
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
- Regularly lift and carry up to 100 pounds, with team lifting for heavier items.
- Use hand and power tools throughout the day.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and around construction or commercial job site environments.
Pay & benefits
- Hourly pay, competitive with the industry and based on experience and skill level — our average hourly rate runs about 9% above the industry average.
